The line-up for this July’s Bloc Weekend has already been looking mightily impressive, but this latest announcement has set the Quietus offices buzzing: Perc Trax are going head-to-head with London promoters Plex to curate a stage.
Perc Trax have been one of our favourite labels over the last year or so, releasing a raft of excellent industrial-flecked techno and experimental electronics. Label head Perc’s Wicker & Steel album, for example, was one of our favourites of last year. Bloc’s Plex vs. Perc Trax line-up is set to feature Perc himself alongside a host of veritable techno royalty: Surgeon, Monolake, Truss, Cosmin TRG, Stroboscopic Artefacts label head Lucy and the mutant sounds of Berlin’s Objekt. It looks set to be a heavy one.
