Brilliant post-Earl Brutus group The Pre-New have a new single coming out on Valentine’s Day, February 14th, and Mogwai have stepped aboard to remix it. The record is a double-A side featuring ‘Albion (You’ve Done Nothing Wrong)’ backed with ‘Albion (You’ve Done Nothing Right)’. As if to emphasise the point Mogwai, who are Scottish, have remixed the latter. What would Alex Salmond think? Says The Pre-New’s Jim Fry of the remix, "it sounds like an oil tanker". He adds, "’Albion’ was originally written for last year’s royal wedding, it’s a funeral march, it’s us doing Pomp and Circumstance’ for the Debt generation’.
