Help Save Hitchcock’s Manxman

Shooting People raising funds for BFI restoration of 1929 classic

A tempestuous love triangle set on the Isle Of Man (though actually shot in the Cornish fishing village of Polperro), The Manxman was the last silent picture directed by Alfred Hitchcock before he made the transition to talkies. Shooting People, the online network for independent filmmakers, are aiming to raise £5000 to restore this early work by the Master of Suspense to its former glory, as part of the BFI National Archive’s wider campaign to Rescue The Hitchcock 9.

A donation of just £1 will help scan five frames of film for digital restoration. For more details on this worthwhile cause be sure to check Shooters Save The Manxman online.
