London’s maker of shouty, sloganeering electro and shouty, sloganeering Twitter pronouncements M.I.A has released the video for her new single. ‘Bad Girls’ finds her on typical form, driving around a Middle Eastern desert landscape flaunting a combat-glam look, grinding around burning vehicles and generally making a total nuisance of herself. And, for a video for a song called ‘Bad Girls’ it, er, doesn’t seem to have many women in it. Still, it could be worse – at least it’s not as distressing as the single’s artwork.
