Pavement release a special edition of fourth album Brighten The Corners next month and Matador are offering fans the chance to celebrate with a member of the band down Ikea.
The ‘Nicene Creedence Edition’ of the 1997 record is available from December 9th and features previously unreleased material alongside the original 12 tracks, one of which is called ‘Date With Ikea’… hence the competition.
There’s no telling which band member you’ll get but what’s for certain is you’ll have a $500 budget at your disposal – that’s dollars, since you’ll be heading to a US branch of the retailers if you’re lucky enough to win (flights sadly not included in the prize).
Entrants should submit a photo of their lodgings and a short essay on why they deserve shoot the shit with an alt-rock legend over a three-piece suite. You can enter the competition via imeem.
