Off the back of The Cure’s release of their Bestival 2011 performance as a live album, the Quietus office had a welcome Disintegration session yesterday. Robert Smith and co released the double album through Sunday Best on the 5th December, featuring a huge, sprawling performance of most of the band’s classics.
Said Smith: “We had such a great time in the Isle of Wight at Bestival that we wanted to release this show as a way of thanking fans and islanders alike.”
They’ve made live videos of two of its tracks available for your perusal, ‘Close To Me’ and ‘A Forest’.
