Planningtorock’s Living It Out EP is out this week on DFA, featuring remixes from Billy Lock, Jackson, Cosmodelica, Laurel Halo, and When Saints Go Machine. ‘Living It Out’ is the latest track to be taken from this year’s W album.
Laurel Halo’s remix is the pick of the bunch. Off the back of her brilliant Hour Logic and Antenna releases, it melts the original’s edges away entirely, leaving soft synth ambience in the vein of Oneohtrix Point Never’s Returnal. The video matches the track, its colour mostly drained away and its protagonist refusing to face the camera.
