Skrillex & The Doors Unite, Cover Miles Davis

Greasy haired dubstep producer to work with the remaining members of the Doors on a cover of Miles Davis

Divisive dubstep luminary Skrillex is teaming up with the remaining members of the Doors

to record a new version of Miles Davis’s 1958 classic ‘Milestones’, reports The Guardian. When questioned on the upcoming collaboration with the wobble superstar, Doors member Ray Manzarek told Rolling Stone magazine “If I do say so myself, sounds fucking great, hot as hell”.

The collaboration forms part of the yet to be released documentary RE: GENERATION,

directed by Amir Bar-Lev, which pairs dissimilar artists and producers in the hope of creating musical magic. It is yet unclear as to whether the Doors/Skrillex pairing will lead to other collaborations, but in the meantime the world waits with baited breath for their subtle and nuanced take on the Mile Davis original.
