You may have heard us banging on about Kaputt, the album by Destroyer aka Dan Bejar from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, well now it’s getting a UK release on June 13 courtesy of Dead Oceans to coincide with his first European tour.
Certainly the definition of a marmite artist, Destroyer is smooth, wordy and opulently poppist, calling to mind Prefab Sprout, Scritti Politti, Of Montreal and more recently Gayngs.
