You love acid. The Quietus loves acid. We all love acid. Which is why we were delighted when a compilation of 12-lysergic bangers compiled by Boys Noize dropped on our welcome mat recently.
The comp featuring Alex Ridha (aka Boys Noize himself), Erol Alkan, Joakim & Krikor, Benny Rodrigues and Brodinski, takes the Roland TB-303, the TR-808 and 909 and various clones and iPad apps and pushes the classic acid sound into some obscene positions.
There’s barely a duff track on this awesome collection but our favourites have to be by Erol and Benny Rodrigues… not forgetting this storming banger ‘1010’ by Boys Noize.
