Our man Travis Elborough will be giving a talk on his new book, Wish You Were Here: England On Sea in London this week.
The book, which came out this month to much acclaim, explores the British love for the seaside and its far reaching effect on our culture; from Blackpool to Brighton Rock, Billy Butlin to Basil Fawlty.
The event will take place at the Stoke Newington Bookshop this Wednesday (21 July) at 8pm. Entry will cost £2, which will be taken off the price of the book and will include a free ice cream and glass of wine.
