"Part show and tell, part test bed, part salon" – If Wet’s musical high jinx is going on tour around a range of Village Halls this summer. The event, usually based in Worcestershire, aims to provide a space for artists to showcase their latest sonic works and research.
During June the experience will be travelling to West Sussex, Somerset and Cumbria with a range of guests including Sarah Angliss, an interview with whom can be found here. Last time she was involved, it turned out to be organiser Sam Underwood’s favourite ever event: “She struck a major chord with us both and she was typically inspirational. It was a very varied event, with us presenting 3D printed mouthpieces, a clavichord demonstration from musical instrument historian Paul John, clog-dance-techno from Caroline Radcliffe, a bizarre voltage-divider synth from Richard Windley and a three-holed pipe from Tim Cranmore. Pretty amazing really in a Worcestershire village hall that, at best, normally plays host to indoor bouncy castles and WI pudding nights…”
