Sonic Youth have released a mash-up of 12 songs from The Eternal, their forthcoming first album for Matador, onto the internet.
The Eternal isn’t out until June, but the record label are promising a special "buy early and get extra stuff" deal for fans who can’t wait until then.
In the meantime, go to the Matador blog and listen to The Eternal in its fragmented preview form. Is it just us or does that sound a lot more aggressive and rockin’ than Sonic Youth have been in years? What was that bit of guitar that sounded a bit like ‘Death Valley 69’. Cripes.
