Today, the Quietus’ ears thud with that feeling that you get when a helicopter approaches – you can’t hear the thwacking of the blades or roar of the engine, but strange pulses trouble the interior of your cranium.
This is because last night we decamped en masse to Corsica Studios to see Sunn O)))’s Stephen O’Malley and Greg Anderson hail the tenth anniversary of their GrimmRobe Demos with a profoundly loud gig.
What’s more, Mr Paul Weller himself was in the audience soaking up the Doom stood just next to us, and at one point politely said "excuse me love" to one of our friends who works at Rough Trade East as he made his way through the crowd.
