We’ve previous reported the upcoming from Conrad Standish and Tom Carlyon’s collaborative new venture, Standish/Carlyon, and here’s ‘Gucci Mountain’ a new track from Deleted Scenes (artwork above), their debut album, out on May 14 via felte:
Whereas ‘Nono/Yoyo’ was pure let’s get it on, this new cut casts the duo in reflective (shirts slightly less unbuttoned). It’s all sexy bass limb-flexin’ and tense synth atmospherics here, but even that can’t stop the band engaging in some pastel-hued alluring, with a chorus flurry intoning on "the principles of leisure, the DNA of pleasure". Take note, James Blake.
