WATCH: New Tim Hecker & Dan Lopatin

On November 19th, Daniel ‘Oneohtrix Point Never’ Lopatin and Tim ‘Tim Hecker’ Hecker are set to release a collaborative album entitled Instrumental Tourist through Lopatin’s label Software. It’s the first in the label’s Software Studios Series, whose aim will be to bring together established electronic artists to work together on improvised material. With that in mind, the album was improvised and assembled from the blending together of the two artists’ working methods, as well as using a large palette of digitally sourced, very synthetic-sounding ‘Instruments of the World’.
