LISTEN: New Foals!

We recently reported that the new Foals album, Holy Fire, was produced by ace duo Flood and Alan Moulder – and now the first fruits of those labours are here to be heard. As you’ll no doubt be well aware, those two have a history of being able to combine the stadium, the pop, and the gothic, something that the Quietus feels we need more of in these times. ‘Inhaler’, then, starts off as you’d expect from Foals, all intricate rhythms and a smooth vocal turn from Yannis. But then! Avast! Foals suddenly turn into a massive fuck-off yomping shirehorse with brasses a jangling and beer barrels exploding across the street behind it… Aieee! The video, shot by Dave Ma, features a post-apocalypse workout in an abandoned building, shooting fire, and a minor NSFW element.
